Ro leads Human Resources for OnLive, finding and keeping its very cool and brilliant team of engineers and other professionals well heard, respected and engaged. She's enjoyed an 18 year baptism-by-fire in the ways of Silicon Valley HR, and claims several executive stints there as the initiator of effective HR departments in fast-paced, ever-changing tech startups, from R&D-heavy OnLive and Zing Systems, to consumer-facing E-Loan and Softbank Forums. From all of them she learned to live what became her tagline: Keeping HR strongly relevant and gently irreverent. She periodically shares what she's learned with Organizational Psychology classes at San Francisco State University, where she's guest lectured on the state of organizational life in Silicon Valley.
And prior to jumping on Silicon Valley's rollercoaster, she spent the beginning of her career in management on the business side of publishing at Ziff Communications in New York City, where she is from. She has a Masters' Degree in Poetics from New York University and her Bachelors' is from Queens College, City University of New York.
